On Interstate 79 - Interstate 79 North to Morgantown, take I-68 East to exit 4 (Sabraton exit) for Route 7 East. Go approximately 36 miles on Route 7 East. One mile past Terra Alta, a sign on the right will say Alpine Lake Resort; take the road to the left (Alpine Lake Road - Route 46). In 2 miles you will see the entrance to Alpine Lake on your right.
From Washington-Baltimore Area:
Interstate 70 West to Interstate 68 West (which begins at Hancock). Stay on I-68 West until you get to the Route 219 South exit (Exit 14-Keysers Ridge). Stay on 219 South until you get to Oakland, MD. At the 4th stop light in Oakland, take a right onto Route 39 West. Stay on 39 West for 7 miles and you will come to the West Virginia state line. The road then becomes WV Route 7 West. Go another 2½ miles to the sign on the left just after the state road garage that says Alpine Lake. Take the road to the right (Alpine Lake Road- Route 46). In 2 miles you will see the Alpine Lake entrance on your right.
